Breast Lift with Implants

Overview

There are many reasons why a woman would want to opt for a breast lift with augmentation, such as implants or fat grafting. The frustrations that come along with changes as the body shifts naturally from genetics, age, childbirth, or weight gain/loss can leave a woman feeling insecure about the appearance of her breasts.

Dr. Delia understands the importance of feeling confident and works to impart that confidence and feeling of empowerment for all of his patients. Every patient is different, so why wouldn’t their experience be? He is an expert at listening to what you want and turning your point of dissatisfaction into a point of pride.

What does breast lift with implants surgery address?

Breast lift with augmentation is essentially two procedures combined into one. For certain women, a combination of a breast lift and augmentation can help restore size, shape, and position and as a result, restore confidence, too. Prior to the operation you will work with Dr. Delia to determine what type of implant is right for you. This includes distinguishing factors such as type (silicone versus saline) and implant size or even fat grafting to the breasts.

Your incision location will be determined based on the shape and size of your breasts. Dr. Delia will work with you to decide on the best course of action for your individual needs. Inserting the implant through an incision near the nipple, the fold beneath the breast or the armpit are ideal options that provide outstanding results for many patients.

What does this procedure entail?

The procedure is done under general anesthesia. A breast lift with augmentation may take several hours depending upon the degree of lift needed.

It is often performed as part of a Mommy Makeover, and the procedure can be combined with a tummy tuck or liposuction. Dr. Delia will discuss the best way to achieve your desired aesthetic during your consultation.

Recovery

Expect to feel tired and sore after the procedure. There may be some post-operative discomfort, but generally, the pain is managed with oral medications and subsides within a couple of days.

Additionally, for patients recovering from surgery, it will be necessary to wear a specialized soft bra for added support.

Although the patient may go home after the surgery, they will be unable to perform any strenuous activity. They will need to limit movement so that the tissues can heal. Patients should stay with a capable adult for 24 hours after surgery to monitor recovery. Most patients return to work within a week.
